Create Material Blocks to My Cabinet

Material Block 

In the LabNote, you can add relevant materials to prepare for experiments using Material block. The Material block indicates the material that will be used in your research note. You can add Material blocks to My Cabinet to finish preparing the materials needed.

Add item

When you click the + button in My Cabinet, the Add item window appears, and you can add materials using the Add item window.

1. Click the + in My Cabinet to open the Add item window.
2. Select the Type and enter the keyword you want to Search.
3. Select the search result and move it to the Selected item.
4. Click the Add item button to bring the Selected item to My Cabinet.

Details of Type

There are a total of five Types available. The Filter is available to all Types except for Animal Type. 

• Chemicals
  • Name: Product name of Chemicals; ex) Silver nitrate, Titanium chloride...
  • Formula: Chemical formula of product name; ex) AgNO3, TiCl4...
  • CAS Number: CAS number of product name
  • Product number: Product number of Chemicals
  • Molecular Weight: Molecular weight of Chemicals
  • Supplier: Supplier of Chemicals
• Nucleic acids
  • Name: Product name of Nucleic acids; ex) DNA oligos, SARS-CoV-2SARS-CoV...
  • Sequence: Sequence of DNA, RNA(Nucleic acid); ex) TTT TTTT TTTT...
  • Product number: Product number of DNA, RNA
  • Supplier: Supplier of Nucleic acid
• Animals
  • Name: Name of Animal
  • Animal species: Type of animal ex) Chicken, Guinea pigs...
  • Genetical background: ex) ZDF...
  • Genetically modified: ex) Lepr fa...
  • Microbiota model: Disease-causing Microbiota model ex) SPF...
  • Supplier: Supplier of Animal

Search materials

You can find the material information all at once through a search in the Add item window. You can use the filter to find necessary materials more efficiently. Once found, you can directly edit the information. 

1. Search by Recent searches
   • Click the search bar to see Recent Searches.
   • Click any of the search results in the recent searches.
2. Search by Filter
   • Filters are shown when Public DB is selected and may differ depending on the Type.
   • Click Filter button on the right side of the search bar to apply any filters.
   • Click > button, write text in the input box, and click Add button
   • The added filter is shown as a chip.
   • Click Apply filter to apply added filters to the search list.
   • Added filters can be deleted by X button.
3. Search by Structure
   • Click the search bar.
   • Click Search by Structure to open the Chemical structure window.
   • Draw a chemical structure and click Search button.
   • Bring search results that include the chemical structure.
