Process Blocks
The Process block represents actions (like 'Stirring' or 'Heating') that occurred in the experiment protocols. You can use the existing Process blocks from the LabNote database, create frequently used groups, or customize yourself.
Add Process block
- Click
+ Add process
button just below the Procedure. - Then, the Process sidebar appears on the right side of the screen.
- At the Process sidebar,
Search
the Process you want or add from theAll Process
list. - Added Process includes default conditions.
- You can add, edit, or delete existing or additional conditions if you want.
Add Customized Process block
- At the Process sidebar,
Search
the Process you wish to. - If it does not exist in
All Process
list,Create
button appears for adding this new Process. - Click
Create “entered Process"
to generate a customized Process block.
Add additional Process block below
- Click
Option
button of the generated Process block. - Click
Add process below
to add an additional Process block right below the current one.
Edit Process block
- Click
Option
button of the Process block to be edited. - Click
Edit
button. - The Process sidebar appears on the right side of the screen.
- Edit the conditions of the current Process block at the Process sidebar.
Copy Process block
- Click
Option
button of the Process block to be copied. - Click
Duplicate
button to open the copy modal. - You may choose to what extent (contents) you want to duplicate in the modal. You may copy the Materials blocks in the Process block if you choose to copy the contents.
- Click
Duplicate
button to generate copied Process block.
Delete Process block
- Click
Option
button of the Process block to be deleted. - Click
Delete
button. - When a confirmation message window pops up, click
Delete
button to delete the Process block.
Make a Note of Process block
- Click
Memo
icon next to the name of the Process block. - Write notes in the
Memo
and leave it float or close it.
Reorder Process block
- Click and hold the Process block to reorder.
- Drag the Process block and drop it at the position to reorder.
