LabNote Versions & Histories

LabNote History

Your LabNotes are saved on the History page by their versions. You can check the previous versions and, if needed, you may restore back to the previous version.

💾 Standard of Saving Versions

When in edit mode, LabNote saves versions every 10 minutes or when the browser or the tab is closed. 
※ If you restore the previous version before the current LabNote is saved in a specific version, the current notes will be discarded. 

Visit History Page

On the History page, you may find the previously saved versions of your LabNote. You may choose one of the previous versions to restore. To get to the History page, 

1. Click History on the left topbar Menu of the LabNote.

2. When there's no historical version, the page would be empty.

3. When there are historical versions, you will see the list of previous versions.

View Saved Histories

When there are historical versions, you will see the list of previous versions on the right side of the screen. 

From the list, 

1. You may click and check the contents in that versions.

2. The latest saved version is tagged with Recent mark. 

Restore Previous Versions

If you accidentally delete your LabNote, you can always restore the previous version.

※ If you restore the previous version before the current LabNote is saved in a specific version, the current notes will be discarded. 

1. Select the previous version to restore from the list.
2. Click Restore button on the bottom right corner.
3. When the Restore alert window appears, read the precautions, and then click Restore button for the final step. 
4. The LabNote you were working on will be restored back to the selected version.
